Aims and Objectives

The undergraduate program in Aeronautical Engineering is designed to satisfy the vision and the mission of the department.  It also reflects the increasing importance of the field of Aeronautics in the development plans of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The vision of the department is to offer leadership in aerospace education and research in Saudi Arabia.  By leadership it is meant to incorporate state of the art techniques in education and research with social and ethical concerns of the society.

 

The mission of the department is to provide challenging and comprehensive educational environment to promote creativity, stimulate innovation, enhance life-long learning skills, and offer professional services to the society within Islamic social and ethical context.

 

The educational program of the Aeronautical Engineering Department at King Abdulaziz University is preparing its graduates to: 1-       Engage in productive career in industry, military, academia, or research, enabled by their technical competence in mechanical and aeronautical engineering, 2-       Advance in responsibility and leadership in public, private, or military sectors in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Area, and 3-       Demonstrate commitment to personal professional development as well as the sustainable development of the society.
